Ultra shorts has started a new web series titled " What's your status" . As the name suggests this season it is about relationships. Three guys going through different relationship status in thier respective life,
one who is single and looking for love another who is committed but cheated by his beloved and trying to find love &
The third one who is married and trying to find the lost love.
The three stories are directed by three different directors and smartly edited to a web series.
The lead casts are--
Manjot Singh, (balu)
Naveen Polishetty, (Tej Kiran aka TJ)
Abhay Mahajan, (Bharat Kulkarni)
And the love of their lifes are
Plabitha Borthakur, (Aisha)
Anisha Victor, ()
Megha Burman. (Chinu)
Now the review- after watching first two episodes It felt a lot of repetitive. Like bell the CAT, Love with Manipal etc.... And too much of product placements (ultra beer) on every occasion they are trying to place the beer. For me the excess product placement worked against the show. But how the director can say no to the marketing team of the beer brand who are producing it. Hopefully one day sense will prevail among those marketing genius..
The positive of the web series is the youthful content about relationships. A lot of scenes are relatable to todays generations including the married one. The chunk of the content are taken by Abhay Mahajan (bharat). His Funny Maharastrian dialects coupled with Chunu's Bengali dialect is good one. But the translation by each dialect kills the fun to some extent.
One of the scene of What's your status has gone viral in social media. The scene is about Half day barb. When our second guy Naveen Polishetty aka TJ is going to home at 6.30 pm after his office hour a colleague taunts him "aaj phir se half day" to which he replied in a befitting way which has become the talk of the town. Watch it here....

If the too much product placement and repetition was not there it would have been much better......
