"The Call" film review.

The Call

Today I watched (somehow) the movie The Call starring Halle Berry.
I am really surprised that Hollywood makes such type if Rubbish. The IMDB score of 6.7added salt to my wound. How a rubbish film be given such score.

The story is about Jordan (Halle Berry) working in 911 helpline number and his she deeply disturbed by the increasing crime in the city and her in help ness in saving the victim.

One such incident where she got a call from a victim who is facing burglary attempt by some robber. Jordan tries to calm down and her window trick was about to succeed in helping the victim to be saved from but alas the phone disconnects and when Jordan redials the robber got hold of her and kidnap and murder the victim. Jordan kind if blames her for the tragedy and lives in a shockwave.

Come another incident when Jordan becomes the instructor for new recruits to handle calls in 911 she accidentally handles another call where a teen girl Casey (Abigail Breslin) kidnapped from a mall 

and dials from the back of the kidnappers car. She was very restless and Jordan tries to calm her down and somehow succeeded. Her tricks suggestions positive vibes helped in taking control of the situation but the patrol team unable to locate her

So Far So Good.  Then comes the worst part of the movie.

They got details of the kidnapper and tried to locate him. But all in vein. Than the super actress Jordan with her logic and gut feeling located the place.

But she didn't dial or inform about it although her boyfriend is also a police officer. She did not felt it necessary to dial the 911. I guess she wanted to do all the action and take the credit that she single handedly rescue her.

In the kidnapper's place it was almost a scene from The classic "Psycho" by Hitchkock. Where the kidnapper skin the victim to preserve the memory of his sister.

Than what happens next ? Will Jordan be able to rescue Casey   or the kidnapper have the final say ! Watch it to find out or you may avoid it.\

"There is no perfect crime"

I must admit I have become a big fan of Alfred Hitchcock after watching this classic movie. Although he has a lot of classic film to his credit, this film will be one of the best because of the great screenplay and the story and the dialogues so gripping that you will get any time to wink. There is superb performance by the whole starcast.

"There is no perfect crime" is the stroryline of the film. The film is about Ex professional tennis player Tony Wendice & his wealthy wife Margot Mary Wendice. Things seems all fine. But Margot Wendis had a love affair with the American Crime writer Mark Halliday. They both have been exchanging letters all but one letter has  been destroyed  but someone is blackmailing Margot for that letter. 
The storyline came into a twist when Tony Wendice hires/blackmails one of his seniors from college and a petty criminal to murder his wife. will he be able to kill Margot will the Dial m will be successful ? or is there some surprise element is there, I won't reveal the story. The movie and screenplay is very gripping. watch it to find out Hitchcock's brilliance.

Das Boot in German meaning "The Boat"

At the outset I would like you to tell that I have watched a lot of war movies, But Das Boot is the best amongst them. Unlike some of the other war films where there is a lot of dramatised scenes with a dramatised victory This film is superb.

This film is about German war Boat U- 96 and its crew who desire to do their best for their comrades and their country. To control the Atlantic both the British and German are trying their best. The British with their Destroyer ship have an advantage, will the Das Boot crew will be able to patrol the territory with their U- 96 ? what happens in the end, will they meet head to head with the British naval ship ? watch it to find out.

The Movie is superb with the discipline of Germans in the Boat, the teamwork, the risk taking ability has been well depicted in the boat. How the creme of Hitler army is enjoying the drinks, sex and food and the crew members are risking their lifes to safeguard their country has been shown in a beautiful way. How the crew are depressed in the submarine boat is also intriguing. One scene where a soldier asks Do you have hair in your nose and the other soldiers says Why ? and the soldier answers I have some hair in my ass and thinking of tying them together was a scene to remember.

The theme of the movie Love Games is Sex can be Messy but Love can be true.

The Movie is about Sam (Gaurav Arora) Alisha (Tara Alisha Berry)  and Ramona (Patralekha )

The movie has a lot of intimate scenes. The movie revolves around the theme of a fictitious book Love Games where bothe the partner targets a happy couple at various parties and tries to seduce and have sex with the other. The first to do among sam and Raona wins the Love game. But while doing these game Sam falls in Love with Alisha. alisha is having a trobled marriage with his husband, Gaurav Asthana, the criminal lawyer. He has been torturing his wife Alisha and always think that she is having extra marital affairs. on the other hand Ramona able to seduce Gaurav  and have sex with him.

But things take a turn when Ramona wants to have sexual relations with Sam, But Sam was in love with Alisha. What happens next, is some twist is there ?  There is a thrill in the movie watch it to find it. 

Overall Tara Alisha berry and Gaurav Arora have acted really well. Patralekha with her heavy accent sometimes could not cut the roast. But overall the actors have paid a tremendous effort and Tara Alisha berry is stunning and beautiful throughout the movie.

Awargi se dil bhar gaya ye is a nice song and very apt to the scenario of the movie.

Psycho (1960)

Psycho 1960 Thriller. directd by one of the Greatest Director Mr. Alfred Hitchcock.

For me the film is a brilliant work by Alfred Hitchcock and superb acting by the whole star cast including the small roles like the sheriff, the highway patrolling policeman, the car shop, the Sheriff's wife. This will be one of the best movie in the Mystery and Thriller genre. There are various movie on dual personality and it will be among Top 10 in that category.

The film is all about Phoenix secretary  Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) who  steals $40,000 from her employer's client, goes on the run anew life with  Sam Loomis (John Gavin)   and checks into a  motel with low occupancy due to shifting of the highway run by a young man Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins)  who is under the domination of his ill mother.

What happens Next ? Will she escape and unite with his boyfriend ? Or Will she get caught by the Police ? Will some tragedy in the offing ?
